Ángela Aguilar Álvarez was born on October 8, 2003, in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are Pepe Aguilar and Aneliz Álvarez Alcalá. She holds dual citizenship in both Mexico and the United States. The singer belongs to a prominent musical family often referred to as La Dinastía Aguilar. She was named after her father's paternal grandmother, Ángela Márquez Barraza Valle. She also has Argentinian heritage through her maternal grandmother who was raised in Buenos Aires.
During her childhood, she frequently toured Latin America with her father and her brother, Leonardo Aguilar. This early exposure to the road shaped her understanding of the music industry. She performed the single Tu Sangre en Mi Cuerpo at the 2018 Premios Tu Mundo. Later that year, she received a standing ovation for singing La Llorona at the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. This performance earned her praise from singer Vicente Fernández. The album secured nominations for both a Grammy Award and two Latin Grammy Awards.

The singer comes from a family deeply rooted in Mexican entertainment. Her paternal grandparents were the well-known actors and singers Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, who were icons of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Her uncle is Antonio Aguilar Jr. And her brother is Leonardo Aguilar.
On June 10, 2024, she confirmed a relationship with the singer Christian Nodal. The pair were married on July 24, 2024. The wedding ceremony took place at the Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas in the state of Morelos, near Lake Tequesquitengo.
