Carla Angeline Reyes Abellana was born on June 12, 1986, in Manila, Philippines. Her father is actor Rey PJ Abellana and her mother is Rea Reyes. Her maternal grandmother is actress Delia Razon.
She attended De La Salle University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.
How Carla became famous
She began her professional career working as a model for various television commercials. These early modeling projects included CreamSilk Leave-on in 2002 and Palmolive Conditioner in 2005.
In 2009, she auditioned for a role in Zorro. GMA Network instead cast her in the lead role for Rosalinda, which served as a remake of a Mexican telenovela and launched her acting career.
