Early life and education
Disha Parmar was born on November 11, 1994, in New Delhi, India, into a Sahajdhari Sikh family. She completed her schooling at Sadhu Vaswani International School located in Delhi. During her higher secondary education, she actively participated in various school plays, fashion shows, and dance competitions.
Before entering the television industry, she appeared in several print and commercial advertisements in Delhi. She also worked for a year at the Delhi-based company Elite Model Management India Pvt. Ltd, where she organised auditions for Rajshri Productions. She was pursuing a degree in business marketing but left her undergraduate studies midway after being selected for a lead acting role.

Disha Parmar made her acting debut in 2012 at the age of seventeen when she was selected to play the lead role of Pankhuri Gupta in the Hindi television series Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. Her on-screen pairing with co-star Nakuul Mehta received significant praise from viewers and critics alike. She continued working in various commercials alongside her commitments to the daily soap.
In 2016, she appeared in the web series titled I Don't Watch TV, which was released by Arré. The following year, she played the lead role of Janvi and Jiya in the Zee TV daily soap Woh Apna Sa. From 2021 to 2023, Disha Parmar portrayed the character of Priya Sood in Ekta Kapoor's television drama Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, and later continued her role in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3. Her performance earned her positive reviews from audiences, and her chemistry with co-star Nakuul Mehta was once again widely appreciated.
In addition to her fiction shows, she participated as a contestant in Colors TV's reality series Dhammal with Pati Patni Aur Panga alongside her husband. She is also recognized as one of the most-followed Indian television actresses on the Instagram platform.
Family and personal life
Singer Rahul Vaidya publicly proposed to Disha Parmar on her birthday while he was participating as a contestant on the reality television show Bigg Boss 14. She had also appeared as a guest on the same show on Valentine's Day to meet him.
The couple got married on July 16, 2021, in Mumbai. They later welcomed their first child, a daughter named Navya, in September 2023.
