Early life and real name
Ed Sheeran: Edward Christopher Sheeran was born on February 17, 1991, at the Royal Halifax Infirmary in the United Kingdom. His early childhood home was in Hebden Bridge before his family moved to Framlingham in Suffolk in December 1995. His father, John, worked as a curator, and his mother, Imogen, worked at an art gallery. He attended Thomas Mills High School and the Academy of Contemporary Music.
From a young age, Ed showed a strong inclination toward music. He sang in a local church choir at the age of four and learned to play the guitar at age eleven. As a teenager, he was accepted into the National Youth Theatre in London and joined a production with Youth Music Theatre UK.
