Early life and education
Elisabeth DelPadre Filarski was born on May 28, 1977, in Cranston, Rhode Island. She grew up in the United States. Her father, Kenneth Filarski, worked as an architect. Her mother, Elizabeth DelPadre, worked as a lawyer and a school teacher.
She attended St. Mary Academy in East Providence and graduated in 1995. Later, she went to Boston College. While at college, she was the captain of the women's softball team for two seasons. She led the Boston College Eagles softball team to two consecutive Big East championships. She earned a BFA in 1999 with concentrations in industrial design and large scale paintings.
Television career highlights
Elisabeth Hasselbeck first appeared on television as a contestant on Survivor: The Australian Outback in 2000. She finished the competition in fourth place. Following this, she worked as a judge for the Miss Teen USA 2001 pageant. In 2002, she hosted The Look for Less on the Style Network.
She became a permanent co-host on the ABC daytime talk show The View on November 24, 2003. She held this position until July 2013. During her time on the show, she shared conservative views on various sociopolitical issues. In 2009, she received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host alongside her fellow co-hosts.
After leaving ABC, she joined the Fox News morning program Fox & Friends in September 2013. She served as a co-host on this program until December 2015. She decided to leave the network to spend more time with her family.
Family and personal life
Elisabeth Hasselbeck married Tim Hasselbeck, a professional football player, on July 6, 2002. They have three children together. Their daughter, Grace Elisabeth, was born in 2005. They also have two sons, Taylor Thomas, born in 2007, and Isaiah Timothy, born in 2009.
Before her media career, she worked for the design team at Puma shoes. She began this job in 1998 while she was still a student at Boston College. She continued her work with the company after her graduation in 1999.
