Early life and education
Jenny Elvers was born in Lüneburg, Germany. She pursued her acting education at Die Etage. Her studies were spread across three cities including Berlin, Hamburg, and Chicago. This training prepared her for a career in the arts.
Film and television career
Jenny began her professional work as an actress and television presenter in the early 1990s. She appeared in the series Otto - Die Serie in 1994. In 1995, she worked on the films Jailbirds and Der Elefant vergißt nie. She played a role in Knockin' on Heaven's Door in 1996.

Jenny Elvers was married to her agent, Goetz Elbertzhagen, from 2003 until 2013. She has been in relationships with several public figures. Her partners included Farin Urlaub and Alex Jolig.
