Early life and real name
Julia Barretto Francesca Barretto Baldivia was born in Marikina, Philippines, on March 10, 1997. Her parents are actors Dennis Padilla and Marjorie Barretto. She finished her primary education at Miriam College in Quezon City in March 2011 and later graduated from high school in 2015.
During her high school years, she played for the varsity volleyball team in the WNCAA before transferring to St. Paul College in Pasig in 2013. She comes from a family with several actors, including her aunts Claudine Barretto and Gretchen Barretto and her brother Leon.
Acting career highlights
Julia began her career as a child actress and made her first television appearance in the series Gulong ng Palad. She gained broader recognition as Anna in the fantasy series Kokey and later landed her first lead role in the drama series Mirabella opposite Enrique Gil. Her performance in Mirabella helped the show achieve strong nationwide viewership.
She made her film debut in the teen romance Para sa Hopeless Romantic and starred as Vince and Kath and James alongside Joshua Garcia and Ronnie Alonte.
