Early life
Kendra Wilkinson was born in San Diego, California, on June 12, 1985. She grew up in the Clairemont neighborhood of San Diego and attended Clairemont High School, where she played softball for six years with the Clairemont Bobby Sox. As a child, she had aspirations of becoming a marine biologist. Following her time in high school, she began working as a glamour model and also briefly held a job as an administrative assistant in a dentist office.
Her family background includes parents named Patti and Eric. Her mother worked as a cheerleader for the Philadelphia Eagles, while her father earned a degree in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and founded biotechnology companies. Her parents married in November 1983 and later divorced in March 1994 when Kendra was eight years old. She also has a younger brother named Colin.
Rise to fame
Kendra Wilkinson first came to public prominence after meeting Hugh Hefner at his seventy-eighth birthday party in April 2004. Hefner saw a photograph of her taken by Kim Riley on a fax machine at the Playboy Mansion and wanted to meet her. Shortly after that meeting, Hefner invited her to become one of his girlfriends, and she moved into the Playboy Mansion.
Her life inside the residence was documented on the E! Reality television series The Girls Next Door, which ran from 2005 to 2009. In 2011, she was a contestant on the twelfth season of Dancing with the Stars, where she was partnered with professional dancer Louis Van Amstel before being eliminated in the seventh week. Later in her career, she transitioned into real estate and starred in the show Kendra Sells Hollywood, which aired for two seasons between 2021 and 2023.
