Throughout her solo career, she released multiple singles and albums. In August 2005, she released her fifth single, "Koi no Hana". Later that year, she released the single "Takaramono" under the credit "Sen", reflecting her role as the main character in the drama of the same name. In 2006, she released the single "Sweet Holic" and her second album, "2nd ~Shimiwataru Omoi~", followed by a cover of Chisato Moritaka's song "The Stress" in June. Her single "Amasugita Kajitsu" reached 5th on the Oricon Chart in October 2006. On September 15, 2010, she released her 12th single, "Ameagari no Niji no Yō ni".
Acting and television work
In addition to her music career, Natsumi Abe expanded into acting for television dramas, stage productions, and films. She appeared in various television shows, including Hello! Morning and Futarigoto.
Her drama credits include Aiken Rosinante no Sainan, Nurseman, Angel Hearts, Koinu no Waltz, Takaramono, and Arakawa Under the Bridge, where she played the character P-ko. She also lent her voice to the character Liberty in the Japanese dubbing of PAW Patrol: The Movie and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.

Natsumi Abe stands at a height of 152 centimeters. Her family includes her sister Asami Abe. In October 2007, she was involved in a traffic accident in Shibuya, Tokyo, when her car collided with a motorcyclist, resulting in minor injuries for the rider while she remained unhurt.
She married fellow actor Ikusaburō Yamazaki in December 2015. The couple has three sons together, welcoming their children on July 27, 2016, October 31, 2018, and December 27, 2022, respectively.
