Early life and schooling
Phil Jagielka: Philip Nikodem Jagielka was born in Sale, United Kingdom, on August 17, 1982. He grew up in the area and attended Knutsford Academy during his youth. Before focusing purely on his schooling, he played football for Holy Family Football Club between the ages of eight and eleven, often playing as a right winger due to his pace. He also featured for other local teams such as Hale Barns United and his school team at Moorlands Junior School.
Sheffield United career
Phil made his way through the youth system at Sheffield United and earned his first-team debut on May 5, 2000, against Swindon Town. He signed a professional contract the following day and quickly established himself as a key player for the squad. Everton career and captaincy
In July 2007, Phil signed for Everton on a five-year contract for a fee of £4 million.
