Early life and education
Samantha Karen Fox was born in Wood Green in North London. She attended St Thomas More Catholic School. She also received training at the Anna Scher Theatre to develop her acting skills in the city.
Glamour modelling career
Samantha Fox began her modelling career at age 16. She placed second in a Sunday People amateur modelling contest. The Sun recruited her for Page 3 in February 1983. She was named Page 3 Girl of the Year for 1984, 1985 and 1986. She left Page 3 in 1986 at age 20. She later appeared in a 1996 Playboy pictorial. In 2008 she was voted the top Page 3 model of all time.
Music career highlights
Samantha Fox released her debut single Touch Me (I Want Your Body) in March 1986 through the Jive Records label. The song was a top 10 hit in Europe, North America and Australia. It reached number one in several countries. She released three studio albums between 1986 and 1988. These albums were Touch Me, Samantha Fox and I Wanna Have Some Fun. All three produced international hit singles. She received a nomination for British Female Solo Artist at the 1988 Brit Awards. Later albums included Just One Night in 1991 and 21st Century Fox in 1997. She released Angel with an Attitude in 2005. She continues to tour and has a seventh studio album coming soon produced by Ian Masterson.
Personal life and relationships
Samantha Fox dated Peter Foster and Paul Stanley from the band Kiss. She came out as a lesbian in 2003. She had a long term relationship with manager Myra Stratton from 2003 until Stratton died of cancer in 2015. In 2022 she married tour manager Linda Birgitte Olsen. Samantha is 155 cm tall and is a British citizen.
