Shraddha Kapoor was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She grew up in a prominent film family as the daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kapoor. Her older brother is Siddhanth Kapoor, and she comes from a large extended family of actors and classical singers in the Indian entertainment industry.
As a child, she attended Jamnabai Narsee School before moving to the American School of Bombay. She was an active student who participated in dance competitions, played sports like soccer and handball, and later enrolled at Boston University to study psychology before leaving to pursue an acting career.
