Who is Stacy Keibler?
Early life and education
Stacy Keibler Ann-Marie Keibler was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 14, 1979. She grew up in the Rosedale area and attended St. Clement Mary Hofbauer School for her primary education. Her parents are Patricia and Gary Keibler.
From the age of three, she participated in ballet, jazz, and tap dance classes at the Jean Kettell Studio of Dance in Dundalk. During her teenage years, she attended the Catholic High School of Baltimore. She later enrolled at Towson University on a partial scholarship, where she focused her studies on mass communication and maintained a 3.7 grade point average.
Modeling and early career
In 1990, she won the title of Miss Maryland Pre-Teen and subsequently earned the National Miss Pre-Teen Crown. While attending university, she also worked as a cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens football team starting at age eighteen.
She appeared in minor film roles in the late 1990s, including parts in Pecker and Liberty Heights. Also, she pursued small modeling opportunities during this time. These early experiences preceded her entry into professional wrestling.
Professional wrestling career
In 1999, she participated in a contest organized by World Championship Wrestling to find a new member for the Nitro Girls dance troupe. She won the competition after receiving the most online votes, performing routines on the program Monday Nitro. She later transitioned into an on-screen manager role using the name Ms. Hancock.
When WCW was purchased by the World Wrestling Federation in 2001, she began working for the company during the Attitude Era. She became known for managing various wrestlers, including the Dudley Boyz, Test, and Scott Steiner. She was also nicknamed the Duchess of Dudleyville during this period. Her wrestling career concluded with her departure in 2006, though she was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023.
Television and media appearances
Beyond the wrestling ring, she competed on the second season of Dancing with the Stars in 2006, where she finished in third place. Her television credits include appearances on series such as What About Brian, George Lopez, and October Road. She also guest-starred on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother and the USA Network program Psych.
