Early life and background
Urvashi Rautela was born on February 25, 1994, in Kotdwar, India. She was raised in a Rajput family. Her father is Manwar Singh Rautela, and her mother is Meera Rautela. She attended St. Joseph's Convent School located in Kotdwar during her childhood.
After completing her primary education, she went on to study at Gargi College in Delhi. Her family background includes roots in the Garhwal and Kumaon regions of Uttarakhand.
Pageantry and fashion career
Urvashi began her path in the fashion industry at age 15. Her first major modeling opportunity came during Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. In 2009, she won the title of Miss Teen India. She later walked the ramp for several major fashion events, including Lakme Fashion Week, Amazon Fashion Week, and Dubai Fashion Week.
In 2011, she achieved success by winning the titles of Indian Princess 2011 and Miss Asian Supermodel 2011. She also became the first Indian woman to win the Miss Tourism Queen of the Year pageant held in China that same year. In 2012, she won the I AM She Miss Universe India crown, but she had to give up the title because she was underage at the time. She returned to pageantry in 2015, winning the title of Miss Diva Miss Universe India and representing her country at the Miss Universe 2015 competition.

Urvashi Rautela made her Hindi film debut in 2013 with the movie Singh Saab the Great, starring alongside Sunny Deol. Her team announced they were pursuing legal action against a Los Angeles-based artificial intelligence company, alleging unauthorized use of her name and likeness. The statement claimed damages were being assessed at 7,000 crore rupees. Sheeraz Hasan, the founder of the company involved, dismissed the claim on social media.
