Verónica Sánchez was born in Seville, Spain, on July 1, 1977. She grew up in this southern Spanish city during her early years.
After completing her COU studies, she decided to move away from her hometown. She relocated to Madrid so she could train formally in drama and acting.
Stage beginnings and early work
Verónica made her official stage debut in the year 1996. During her early theatrical career, she performed in several different stage productions.
She appeared in a play titled Un espíritu burlón by Noel Coward in 1996. Over the next few years, she acted in Tierra in 1997, Lorca e Escena in 1998, El Zapatito Mágico in 1999, and Fin in 1999.
In 2001, she performed in Don Juan en los ruedos, which was directed by Salvador Távora. One of her most successful theater shows took place in 2002 when she acted in a production of Blood Wedding.
Film and television career
Verónica made her feature film debut in the movie South from Granada, which was directed by Fernando Colomo in 2003. This film project helped establish her presence in the Spanish cinema industry.
In 2003, she landed her most famous television role as Eva Capdevila in the Telecinco series Los Serrano. Her storyline alongside her stepbrother Marcos, played by Fran Perea, brought her widespread popularity across Spain.
She continued working on the show until her departure in 2006. Following that project, she starred in the first season of the television series Génesis: en la mente del asesino, though she did not return for the second season.
