Modeling career
Zara Sheikh began her professional career as a fashion model well before entering the film industry. She worked with photographer Khawar Riaz early on and remains known as one of his most successful models. Her distinctive look and slender frame made her a frequent choice for prominent designers throughout her time in the industry.
She appeared in numerous campaigns for a variety of brands, including Coca-Cola, Levi's, Head & Shoulders, and Nishat. Her modeling work also spanned major magazines in Pakistan. In 2003, she played the character Ram Khori in the movie Laaj, a story centered on the 1947 partition of India and Pakistan. Her performance in this film resulted in a Lux Style Award for Best Actress. She continued her film career in 2004 with the film Salakhain, directed by Shahzad Rafique, and later appeared in the 2006 film Pehla Pehla Pyar.
