Who is Adrianne Palicki?
Early life and education
Adrianne Palicki was born in Toledo, Ohio, on May 6, 1983. Her parents are Jeffrey Arthur Palicki and Nancy Lee French Palicki. She grew up with an older brother named Eric, who works as a comic book writer and influenced her interest in comics. She attended Whitmer High School in her hometown before pursuing a career in acting and modeling.
Early television and film career
Adrianne began securing television guest roles in the mid-2000s. She appeared in the season 3 finale of Smallville in 2004 and played Judy Robinson in an unsold pilot titled The Robinsons: Lost in Space. In 2005, she portrayed Jessica Moore in the pilot episode of Supernatural. She also appeared in an unaired Aquaman pilot for The WB network in 2006 as a character named Nadia.
In 2006, Adrianne Palicki landed her first major series regular role as Tyra Collette in the NBC sports drama Friday Night Lights. She remained with the show through its first three seasons and returned for the final two episodes in 2011. During this period, she also appeared in a music video supporting Barack Obama and joined the short-lived Fox drama Lone Star in 2010.
Major roles and comic books
In August 2014, Adrianne joined the cast of the ABC superhero drama series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. As Bobbi Morse. She became a principal cast member before her character was written out of the story near the end of season 3. Following this role, she was cast as Commander Kelly Grayson in the science fiction comedy-drama series The Orville, created by Seth MacFarlane, which premiered in 2017.
Beyond acting, Adrianne teamed up with her brother Eric to write a comic book titled No Angel. Black Mask Studios published the first issue of the comic in November 2016. Later, in 2023, she starred in the Hulu original comedy film Quasi, which was released on April 20, 2023.
Personal life and relationships
Adrianne manages celiac disease in her daily life. Regarding her personal relationships, she was previously engaged to stuntman Jackson Spidell after meeting him on the set of John Wick. She later married her The Orville co-star Scott Grimes in May 2019 in Austin, Texas. She filed for divorce later that year, dismissed the filing briefly, and subsequently filed for a second time in July 2020.
