Belinda Marie Macadengdeng Batumbakal was born in the Philippines on February 9, 1997. She spent her early years living in slums with her grandmother before being adopted. At the age of 13, she moved to San Francisco to stay with an aunt. Later, her family relocated to Texas because her father required bypass surgery.
The singer eventually became a veteran of the United States Navy. She joined the military at age 17 and worked as an aviation ordnanceman starting in 2017. During her three years of service, she was stationed in both Hawaii and Japan.

Bella Poarch started her TikTok account in January 2020 and began posting cosplay and gaming content in April.
