Early life and real name
Billie Piper was born Leian Paul Piper on September 22, 1982, in Swindon, United Kingdom. Her first name was legally changed to Billie in April 1983. She started dance classes at age five and appeared in soft drink commercials before taking an extra role in the 1996 film Evita.
She attended Bradon Forest School near Swindon. She left around the age of 12 after winning a scholarship to the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London.
Music career
Billie Piper began her career in entertainment as a singer, releasing her debut single 'Because We Want To' at the age of 15. This made her the youngest female singer to enter the UK Singles Chart at number one. Her follow-up single 'Girlfriend' also debuted at number one on the charts.
