Early life
Brittany Daniel was born on March 17, 1976, in Gainesville, Florida. She grew up alongside her twin sister, Cynthia, and an older brother named Brad. Their parents are Carolyn and Charlton Bradford Daniel Jr.
At the age of eleven, both Brittany and her twin sister signed with the Ford Agency. They started their careers as child models and appeared in publications such as Seventeen and YM. They also gained recognition as the Doublemint Twins in television advertisements for Doublemint gum.
Acting career
Both sisters began acting in 1989 with a television appearance in the sitcom The New Leave It to Beaver. Brittany later secured a role in the syndicated teen drama Swan's Crossing at the age of sixteen, which required her to relocate to New York for filming.
After finishing high school, she landed her most famous early television role as Jessica Wakefield in the hit teen drama series Sweet Valley High. Her twin sister Cynthia portrayed Jessica's twin sister, Elizabeth, on the program. During this period, the twins made their feature film debut in the drama film The Basketball Diaries alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Film and television projects
Following the conclusion of Sweet Valley High, Brittany Daniel continued to take on various film and television roles. She appeared on Dawson's Creek in 1999 and starred in the television movie On Hostile Ground the following year. In 2001, she played Brandy, the love interest of David Spade, in the comedy film Joe Dirt.
She later appeared in films such as White Chicks and Little Man, both directed by the Wayans Brothers. On television, she joined the cast of the comedy-drama series The Game as Kelly Pitts, a role she played for multiple seasons. Her other well-known screen credits include the science fiction thriller film Skyline.
Personal life
In March 2014, Brittany Daniel publicly shared that her departure from the television series The Game was due to a diagnosis of Stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma. She underwent treatments including chemotherapy and was reported to be cancer-free by the end of that year.
Regarding her personal relationships, she dated actor Keenen Ivory Wayans for several years. She later married Adam Touni in 2017. With the assistance of her twin sister Cynthia, who donated an egg, Brittany welcomed a daughter in October 2021.
