Who is Brunette?
Early life and real name
The artist known professionally as Brunette was born with the given name Elen Yeremyan. Her birthplace is located in Yerevan, which is the capital city of Armenia. She grew up developing a strong passion for music and performance from a very young age. According to background details, she started singing publicly when she was only four years old. As she grew older, she expanded her creative skills by learning how to write her own original music starting at the age of fifteen.
How Brunette became famous
The musician took her first major step into the professional recording industry in September 2019. At that time, she released her debut single titled Love the Way You Feel. This initial project was created in collaboration with the Nvak Foundation. Following this release, she joined Project 12, which is a musical collective based in Yerevan that performs regularly at local night clubs.
Brunette also became part of a girl group called En aghjiknery, which is alternatively known as ThoseGirlz. The group gained attention for releasing a single titled Menq in 2022. During that same year, she published several solo tracks including Gisher, Smoke Break, and Bac kapuyt achqerd. Two of these particular singles managed to go viral across various social media platforms, helping to expand her growing fan base significantly.
Eurovision Song Contest and later career
In February 2023, public announcements confirmed that Brunette had been internally chosen to represent Armenia on the international stage. She traveled to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 to perform her original track titled Future Lover. Her performance during the second semi-final resulted in a sixth place finish, which successfully secured her a spot in the grand final event.
During the final round of the competition held in May 2023, she earned a total score of 122 points and finished in 14th place overall. Her involvement with the contest continued into the following year when she was selected to announce the official jury points for Armenia during the 2024 event. Also, she appeared at the Armenian Selection for Eurovision 2025 to perform several of her tracks including Future Lover, No Energy, and Superstar Illness.
