Early life and pageant career
Danni Boatwright was born in Tonganoxie, Kansas. She began her path in pageantry by winning the Miss Kansas Teen USA title in late 1991. This achievement made her the first representative for the Vanbros pageant group.
She represented her home state at the Miss Teen USA pageant in 1992. During the competition held in Biloxi, Mississippi, she placed second in the evening gown and interview rounds. She eventually finished as the second runner-up in the overall competition.
Modeling and television work
A modeling career began after Danni was spotted by an international scout during her time at the Miss Teen USA pageant. She has worked as a model in several countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, South Africa, Australia, and Tunisia.
At age 17, she appeared on the show Star Search as a contestant and spokesmodel. This made her the youngest person to ever compete in that specific category. Her television work also includes print and video advertisements for brands like BioSilk.
Survivor competition history
Danni Boatwright became widely known when she won Survivor: Guatemala in 2005. During the eleventh season, she was part of the Nakúm tribe before moving to the Yaxha tribe following a switch. She managed to win the final immunity challenge and secured the title of Sole Survivor with a 6-1 vote.
She later returned to the franchise for the season titled Survivor: Winners at War. As a member of the Sele tribe, she joined an alliance with Rob Mariano, Ethan Zohn, and Parvati Shallow. However, she was the third person voted out of that specific game.
Personal life and family
Danni currently resides in Tonganoxie, Kansas. She is married to Casey Wiegmann, who is a former center in the NFL. The couple has two sons named Bo and Stone, who were born in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
Before her marriage to Wiegmann, she was married to the country music singer Wade Hayes. She previously appeared in a 1998 music video for his song titled Tore Up from the Floor Up. She also founded a sports clothing brand called Sideline Chic.
