Edurne García Almagro was born in Collado Villalba, Spain. She began pursuing entertainment opportunities at a young age. By the time she reached age nine, she joined a musical ensemble for children called Trastos.

During her childhood, she also appeared in minor acting roles for television programs. Credits from this time include parts in the series Hospital central in 2002 and Ana y los 7 in 2003.

Breakthrough on television

In late 2005, she auditioned for the fourth season of the Spanish talent program Operación Triunfo. The judges selected her to compete on the show. She remained in the competition until the twelfth live broadcast, ending her run in sixth place during early 2006.
