Who is Emily Mortimer?
Early life and education
Emily Mortimer was born on October 6, 1971, in Hammersmith, London. Her father was the barrister and dramatist Sir John Mortimer. She attended St Paul's Girls' School in West London during her youth.
She later moved on to study at the University of Oxford. While attending Lincoln College, she read Russian and participated in several stage plays. During her time at university, she also spent two terms studying acting at the Moscow Art Theatre School.
