Who is Eyal Golan?
Early life and background
Born Eyal Bitton on April 12, 1971, in Rehovot, Israel, he grew up in the Kfar Marmorek neighborhood. His parents, Daniel Bitton and Ronit Jamil, came from Moroccan Jewish and Yemenite Jewish backgrounds. His parents divorced when he was four years old, leading him to live with his mother's side of the family during his childhood years.
Musical career and albums
He launched his music career in 1995 with the album Lechisha ba'Laila. Following this, he worked with the Israeli musical group Ethnix from 1996 until 2000. This band mixed new wave music with oriental melodies. He remained productive, releasing many albums over the decades, such as 1997's Biladaich, 1998's Chayal Shel Ahavah, and 1999's Histakli Elay.

For two seasons, he worked with Yosi Ganj, Adi Leon, and Yaron Elan to find new Mizrahi music singers. Also, he participated as a judge for the 2018 season of the Israeli talent show Rising Star.
