Early life and education
Felix Mallard was born on April 20, 1998, in Melbourne, Australia. He attended Christian Brothers College, which later became St Mary's College, located in the suburb of St Kilda. During his time at school, he served as a prefect student. He finished his Victorian Certificate of Education in 2015 and also completed a technical production course during his studies.
As a young student, Mallard pursued fencing as an extracurricular activity. He competed at both state and national levels for several years. His athletic achievements include winning two bronze medals in team events at the 2012 Victorian National Champions. In 2013, he also secured fifth place at the under-15 National Sabre Championships.
Music and modeling beginnings
Before his acting career took off, Mallard worked as a model after being scouted at age thirteen. He signed with the agency Vivien's Models and appeared in various campaigns, including an editorial feature in Yves magazine. Alongside his visual media work, he developed a strong interest in music.

Mallard made his debut in the acting industry in 2014 when he was fifteen. He successfully auditioned for the role of Ben Kirk in the long-running Australian soap opera Neighbours. Initially, he joined for a brief six-episode guest stint. He returned the following year for a four-month period while still finishing his secondary schooling.
After completing Year 12, he decided to focus on acting as a full-time profession. He joined the permanent cast of Neighbours in 2016. The show incorporated his musical abilities, as his character frequently performed songs on screen. He left the series in 2018, though he made brief return appearances via video link in late 2018 and early 2019. During this period, he also appeared in web series such as Xanthe ♥ Ben and Summer Stories.
International television and film roles
In 2018, Felix moved to the United States and secured the role of Cooper James in the CBS comedy Happy Together. The show featured Damon Wayans Jr. And was loosely based on the life of singer Harry Styles. Although the series ran for one season, it helped establish his presence in American television. Following this, he joined the cast of the Netflix horror series Locke & Key as Lucas Caravaggio, a role he filmed in 2019 and reprised in 2021.
He gained widespread recognition for playing Marcus in the Netflix dramedy Ginny & Georgia. For this part, he learned American Sign Language because his character's father is deaf. The series became highly popular, and Netflix renewed it for multiple seasons. Also, he appeared in the romantic drama film All the Bright Places and the 2024 movie Turtles All The Way Down, which premiered on MAX.
