Early life and education
François Cluzet was born in Paris, France. He attended Collège Stanislas de Paris during his youth. He later studied at Cours Simon and Cours Cochet-Delavène to develop his skills.
He began his professional path on the stage in 1976. Three years after his theatrical debut, he appeared in the film Cocktail Molotov directed by Diane Kurys.
