Early career in Brazil
Born in Guarulhos, Gabriel Martinelli began playing futsal for the Corinthians youth setup in 2010. He eventually transitioned to outdoor football and joined Ituano in 2015. He signed his initial professional contract in November 2017.
He made his debut for the club in March 2018 against São Bento. At sixteen years old, he became the youngest player to represent the team during that century.
