Early life and education
Hande Erçel was born in Bandırma, Turkey, on November 24, 1993. Her parents are Kaya Erçel and her late mother Aylin, who passed away in 2019, and she grew up alongside her older sister, Gamze Erçel.
As a young adult, she pursued higher education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, enrolling in the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts. Before gaining widespread recognition on television, she participated in a beauty pageant held in Azerbaijan in 2012, where she secured the second-place position.

Hande Erçel began building her acting career with well-known television performances in the mid-2010s. Between 2015 and 2016, she portrayed the character Selin Yılmaz Mertoğlu in the series Güneşin Kızları, which was broadcast on Kanal D.
Shortly after, from 2016 to 2017, she took on the leading role of Hayat Uzun in the television show Aşk Laftan Anlamaz on Show TV. Her performance in this romantic comedy brought her significant acclaim, earning her the Best Female Comedy Actress award at the Golden Butterfly Awards.

Transitioning from television to feature films, Hande Erçel made her film debut in the 2024 historical drama Intoxicated by Love, a project that broke box-office records upon release. Following this, she starred in the Netflix romance film Chasing the Wind in 2025.
Alongside her acting career, she has established a strong presence in the fashion and endorsement sectors. She served as the face of personal care brands like L'Oréal Turkey and Signal, and later became an ambassador for clothing brand Nocturne, eventually designing a dedicated collection named Inspired By Her in 2025.
