Early life and education
Harnaaz Sandhu was born in Chandigarh, India, on March 3, 2000. She grew up in a family with her parents, Pritampal Singh Sandhu and Rabinder Kaur Sandhu, along with one sibling. Her father works as a realtor while her mother practices as a gynaecologist.
During her childhood, she spent time living in England before returning to India and settling in Chandigarh. For her education, she attended Shivalik Public School and later studied at the Post Graduate Government College for Girls in Chandigarh.
Pageantry and Miss Universe
Harnaaz Sandhu began competing in regional contests, winning Miss Chandigarh in 2017 and later earning the title of Miss Max Emerging Star India in 2018. She continued her pageantry career by winning Femina Miss Punjab 2019, which allowed her to compete at Femina Miss India 2019, where she reached the top 12.
In 2021, she won the Miss Diva competition, securing her place to represent her country on the global stage. On December 13, 2021, she competed in Eilat, Israel, and was crowned Miss Universe 2021 by the previous titleholder Andrea Meza.
Career and travel
Following her victory at Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz Sandhu started on an extensive travel schedule. Her role took her to Israel, the United States, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Africa, Colombia, Thailand, and her home country of India.
In addition to her pageantry work, she has pursued a career as an actress and model, participating in various entertainment projects and public appearances around the world.
