Who is Helen Flanagan?
Early life and education
Helen Joyce Flanagan was born in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. She grew up in the United Kingdom and attended the Westholme School located in Blackburn, Lancashire. These early years provided the foundation for her later career in the British entertainment industry.
Career in Coronation Street
Helen Flanagan first appeared on screen as Rosie Webster in January 2000. This role became her most prominent project. She portrayed the character steadily until 2012. During her time on the show, she received professional recognition for her acting work.
In 2006, she earned a nomination for Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress at the British Soap Awards. The following year, she received a nomination for Villain of the Year at the same event. She also appeared in the spin-off production Coronation Street: A Knights Tale in 2010. Also, she starred in her own spin-off titled Just Rosie in 2011, which followed her character attempting to start a modelling career in London. Regarding her personal relationships, she became engaged to professional footballer Scott Sinclair on 31 May 2018. The couple shares two daughters and one son. Media reports confirmed in October 2022 that her relationship with Sinclair had concluded after 13 years together.
