Who is Helene Fischer?
Early life and background
Helene Fischer was born in the city of Krasnoyarsk, located in the former Soviet Union. Her parents were Pyotr, a physical education teacher, and Marina, an engineer. Her family members included paternal grandparents who were Black Sea Germans living in Siberia and Kazakhstan.
In 1988, the family moved to Wöllstein in West Germany. Helene was three and a half years old at the time of this immigration. She later moved to Frankfurt to pursue her education at the Stage & Musical School.
Music career and successes
Helene Fischer began her professional stage career in May 2005 through an ARD television program. Since that time, she has become a major figure in the music industry, selling at least 18 million records. Her discography includes many successful albums such as Farbenspiel and the Christmas release Weihnachten.
