Early life and school
Born in Greenville, Jaimie Lauren Tarbush started performing in grade school. She enjoyed theater until high school, when she transitioned into sports. At age seventeen, she accompanied a friend to a meeting with a scouting agency.
Acting beginnings
Her first major breakthrough arrived in 2003. She auditioned for the lead character Hanna Thompson in the independent movie The Other Side. Director Gregg Bishop initially asked her to assist by reading lines for other actors. However, after hearing her performance, he cast her in the starring role instead.
Television success
Jaimie Alexander gained a substantial fan base through her role as Jessi in the television program Kyle XY. Her character possessed superhuman abilities and sought her place in the world. She appeared in other shows as well.
