Early life and education
Jensen Ackles was born on March 1, 1978, in Dallas, United States. He grew up in Richardson and attended Apollo Junior High School before moving on to Lloyd V. Berkner High School. After graduating in 1996, he made the decision to move to Los Angeles to begin pursuing his acting career.
Before focusing entirely on acting, he engaged in modeling on and off starting at the age of four. His parents include Donna Joan and Alan Roger Ackles, an actor. This early exposure to the entertainment industry helped set the foundation for his future professional pursuits.

Jensen Ackles began gaining steady television roles in the late 1990s, joining the cast of the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives as Eric Brady in 1997. In addition to acting, Jensen Ackles is a musician and formed the rock band Radio Company in 2018 alongside longtime collaborator Steve Carlson. Jensen Ackles married actress and model Danneel Harris on May 15, 2010, in Dallas, following several years of dating. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in May 2013, and later announced the birth of twins, a boy and a girl, in December 2016. Together with his wife, he formed Chaos Machine Productions with a deal at Warner Bros. Television in 2020.
