Jessica Marie Alba was born in Pomona, California, on April 28, 1981. Her parents are Catherine Louisa Jensen and Mark David Alba. Because of her father's career in the Air Force, her family lived in Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas, before returning to California when she was nine years old. She grew up in a traditional household with her younger brother, Joshua Alba. Jessica attended Claremont High School and graduated when she was sixteen years old.
