Joanna Garcia was born in the United States to parents Loraine and Jay Garcia. She attended Tampa Catholic High School, where she served as the homecoming queen. Disney Channel discovered her during her youth, but her parents prioritized her education, leading her to participate in local plays.
She later attended Florida State University and became a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority before leaving school to pursue acting full-time in Los Angeles, California.
Television and film career
Joanna Garcia began her acting career by guest starring in programs such as seaQuest DSV, Second Noah, and Superboy.
