Who is Kellan Lutz?
Early life and education
Kellan Christopher Lutz was born on March 15, 1985, in Dickinson, North Dakota. He is the son of Karla and Bradley Lutz and grew up with six brothers named Brandon, Tanner, David, Daniel, Brad, and Chris. During his youth, he lived in both the Midwest and Arizona. He completed his secondary education at Horizon High School located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Before he committed to a professional acting career, he pursued higher education at Chapman University. He initially studied chemical engineering at the university before shifting his focus toward the entertainment industry.
Acting career and famous roles
Kellan Lutz began his career with television roles on programs like Model Citizens and The Comeback. He also appeared in various episodes of shows such as The Bold and the Beautiful, CSI: NY, Six Feet Under, and Heroes. His film debut occurred in the 2006 movie Stick It. He later appeared in films such as Accepted and Prom Night.
His major breakthrough arrived when he was cast as Emmett Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. He reprised this character throughout all five films of the saga, including New Moon, Eclipse, and both parts of Breaking Dawn. Outside of this franchise, he played Poseidon in the 2011 film Immortals, voiced the title character in the 2013 animated Tarzan film, and starred as the lead in The Legend of Hercules in 2014.
Modeling and business ventures
Beyond acting, he has worked as a model and is currently signed with Ford Models. He gained attention for his appearance in a 2010 Calvin Klein X underwear campaign. He has also appeared in music videos, including Hinder's Without You, and served as the host of the Bravo show Blow Out.
In 2013, he co-founded a product development company called Foresight Creative Group. This venture focuses on his own inventions and patents. The company has released items such as a dice game named after him and a specialized sleep mask.
