Early life and real name
Kurtis Matthew Kenneth Conner was born on May 4, 1994, at North York General Hospital in the North York district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has an older sister and grew up in Whitby, Ontario, until around the age of 12 when he moved to Hamilton, Ontario, where he lived until he was around 20. He was named after American actor Kurt Russell. During his education, he attended Humber Polytechnic, where he participated in the Comedy Writing and Performance program.
How Kurtis became famous
Kurtis Conner first started his social media presence on Vine, a now-defunct short-form video application where he amassed around 350,000 followers. He later transitioned to long-form content, uploading his first video to YouTube in 2014 while working a full-time office job. His channel gained significant momentum in 2017 after one of his videos reached 600,000 views in just two days, allowing him to quit his office job and become a full-time content creator.

His YouTube channel became widely known for criticizing problematic online content and making fun of those who marginalized groups of people. In 2018, Kurtis Conner began hosting a podcast entitled Very Really Good. Kurtis Conner started dating Jenna Allard on December 11, 2014, and the couple was married in Tuscany, Italy, on October 19, 2022. They live together in Ontario, Canada, along with their dog named Kiwi. His stepfather passed away on June 6, 2023. In addition to his comedy and internet career, he is agnostic and has expressed solidarity with Palestine, participating in a campaign called Creators for Palestine in May 2024 to raise money for Palestinian relief.
