Leandrinha Du Art was born in Passos, Minas Gerais. She lives with Larsen Syndrome. This is a rare genetic condition that impacts how a fetus develops bones during gestation. Because of these physical malformations, she struggled with her self esteem during her teenage years. She often wore loose clothing to hide her body.

Leandrinha grew up in a religious family and attended church. When she reached 17, she decided to leave the religion. She believed the precepts of the faith were sexist. She also began to look at her own sexuality. She first came out as gay to her family. Less than a month later, she identified as a trans woman. At this same age, she stopped undergoing surgeries related to her genetic condition.
Writing and digital career
Leandrinha started her writing path in 2013 by creating short erotic stories. She expanded her reach in 2015 by posting on Facebook. For a long time, she maintained a personal blog. She used this platform to share chronicles, reflections, and more erotic fiction until 2021. Currently, Leandrinha Du Art works as a communicator and a columnist for Mídia Ninja. She is also a photographer and producer.
Activism and public appearances
Leandrinha Du Art is a strong advocate for the rights of LGBTQ people and people with disabilities. In 2018, she ran for federal deputy with the Socialism and Liberty Party.
