Who is Logan Browning?
Early life and background
Logan Laurice Browning was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. She grew up engaging in various extracurricular activities. These included cheerleading in junior high school and dancing for a local ballet company. Her biological mother is white, and her biological father is black. Her adoptive parents are also from diverse backgrounds; her adoptive father is mixed race, and her adoptive mother is black.
For her formal education, she attended Fayette County High School. Later, she enrolled at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Before starting her acting career, she pursued formal training by taking classes at the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Atlanta. This training began when she was quite young, specifically around 2003.
Acting career debut
Logan Browning started her professional acting career with a role in the television series Summerland, where she played the character Carrie. Shortly after, she appeared as Vanessa in the Nickelodeon show Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Around this time, she also gained visibility in the music industry by appearing as the main love interest in the video for Dijon Talton's song, Wild Out.
In 2007, she landed a major role as Sasha in the live-action feature film Bratz: The Movie. This production was based on the fashion doll line of the same name. Following this film, she joined the cast of the show Meet the Browns during its second season. She took over the character Brianna Ortiz from Brianne Gould. During this period, she also appeared in music videos for the artists Prima J and B5.
Work in television and streaming
The actor continued to secure recurring roles in various television projects. She played a part in the Disney XD series Pair of Kings and appeared in two episodes of The Secret Circle. In 2012, she was cast as Jelena Howard for the VH1 series Hit the Floor. Although she was not a professional dancer before this role, she underwent eight months of training to prepare for the filming. During this time, she also collaborated with her co-star Katherine Bailess on the comedic web series Shit Southern Women Say.
One of her most well-known roles came in 2017 when she began starring as Samantha White in the Netflix satirical-drama Dear White People. She also appeared in the Netflix horror film The Perfection, which was released in 2019. In 2026, she played FBI agent Sarah Greer in the streaming miniseries I Will Find You, appearing alongside actors Chi McBride and Sam Worthington. This project was based on a novel by Harlan Coben.
