Early life
Lyndsy Marie Fonseca was born in Oakland, California, on January 7, 1987. Her parents are Lima Lynn and James Victor Fonseca. She identifies as being of Portuguese descent. Her mother worked as a psychologist, while her father's mother was an artist who created various crafts like quilts and stained glass. Her parents married in 1985 but divorced when she was only two years old.
Following the divorce, her mother married an attorney named Reid Dworkin. This marriage gave Lyndsy a half-sister. During her childhood, she completed courses at the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in San Francisco. When she reached the age of 12, she relocated to Los Angeles to begin her professional career. In 2008, she shared a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for her ensemble work on that show. Between 2010 and 2013, she starred as the recruit Alex Udinov on the CW series Nikita.
