Early life
Moon Bloodgood was born in Alliance, Nebraska, on September 20, 1975. She spent her formative years growing up in Anaheim, California. Her father is Shell Bloodgood, an American, and her mother is Sang Cha, who is from South Korea. Her parents met while her father was stationed in that country.
She attended Esperanza High School. While still a teenager at seventeen, she joined the Laker Girls dance team.
Acting career
Moon Bloodgood began appearing in television shows and movies in the mid-2000s. She played the character Rita Shelten in the series Day Break and appeared as Livia Beale in the NBC show Journeyman in 2007. In 2009, she secured a recurring role as Detective Michelle Paxson on the drama Burn Notice.
She appeared in the film Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li in 2009. That same year, she played Blair Williams in the movie Terminator Salvation. She reprised this specific role for the animated web series and the associated video game. She also provided the voice for Uriel the Archangel in the video game Darksiders.
Between 2011 and 2015, she portrayed Dr. Anne Glass in the TNT science fiction series Falling Skies. This show was executive produced by Steven Spielberg. In 2012, she appeared in the movie The Sessions. The cast of this film, including Moon, John Hawkes, Helen Hunt, and William H. Macy, received a Special Jury Prize for dramatic ensemble acting at the Sundance Film Festival. Later in her career, she joined the medical drama Code Black as a series regular during its third season. She was cast in a starring role for the second season of Untamed in February 2026.
Personal life
In August 2011, Moon Bloodgood married Grady Hall, who is an American business owner in the Internet industry. The couple welcomed a daughter named Pepper in December 2012. She later had a son named Archie.
