Who is Nick Cassavetes?
Early life and education
Nicholas David Rowland Cassavetes was born in New York City. His parents were the actress Gena Rowlands and the actor and director John Cassavetes. As a young child, he appeared in his father's movie Husbands in 1970.
Despite growing up around the film industry, Nick initially intended to pursue a different path. He attended Notre Dame High School before enrolling at Syracuse University on a basketball scholarship. He played for the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team during his time there.
Acting and directing career
Nick Cassavetes has built a varied career in entertainment. His acting credits include roles in films such as The Wraith, Face/Off, The Astronaut's Wife, and Blow. He also appeared in the season 7 opener of the HBO series Entourage and had a cameo as Tattoo Joe in The Hangover: Part II.
