Olivia Cooke was born on December 27, 1993, in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. Her mother, Lindsay Wilde, worked as a sales representative, while her father, John Cooke, was a police officer. Following her parents' divorce during her childhood, she lived with her mother and sister.
Her acting path began at age eight through the Oldham Theatre Workshop, which was a drama program held after school in her hometown.
