Early life and education
Peter Capaldi was born on April 14, 1958, in Glasgow, Scotland. He grew up in a household where his parents managed an ice cream business located in Springburn. His father was Gerald and his mother was Nancy. The family had roots in Scotland and Ireland, with a paternal grandfather of Italian descent.
During his youth, Peter attended St Teresa's Primary School in Possilpark and St Matthew's Primary School in Bishopbriggs. He later went to St Ninian's High School in Kirkintilloch. For his higher education, he studied at the Glasgow School of Art.
Acting career and television roles
