Early life and education
Shamsunnahar Smrity was born on October 24, 1992, in the Satkhira District of Bangladesh. She grew up in Pirojpur after losing her mother at the age of three. Her father, Monirul Islam, was a police officer who eventually passed away during her childhood. Raised primarily by her maternal grandparents and her aunt, she learned to persevere through difficult family circumstances.
She attended Bhagirathpur Secondary School in Mathbaria and later enrolled at Satkhira Government College to study for a bachelor degree in Bengali. During this period, she also trained in dance at the Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts in Dhaka.

Pori Moni began her professional path as a model before moving into acting.
