Early life
Sean Maguire was born on April 18, 1976, in Ilford, United Kingdom. He grew up as one of six siblings in a family known for Irish dance. His parents ran the Maguire and O'Shea school, and Sean danced competitively during his childhood.
Acting career
Sean Maguire started acting at age five, appearing with Laurence Olivier in A Voyage Round My Father. He later starred in the BBC drama series Grange Hill as Tegs Ratcliffe until 1991. After leaving that show, he joined the cast of the British soap opera EastEnders playing Aidan Brosnan.
In the United States, Sean Maguire gained recognition for television roles such as Donovan Brink on the sitcom Eve and Kyle Lendo on The Class. He also played Robin Hood in the ABC fantasy series Once Upon a Time and appeared in the sixth season of S.W.A.T.
Music and other projects
Alongside acting, Sean Maguire pursued a career in music. He released three albums titled his self-titled debut in 1994, Spirit in 1996, and Greatest Hits in 1998. His most successful single was Good Day, which reached number twelve on the charts in May 1996.

Sean Maguire married police detective Tanya Flynn on October 19, 2012, and the couple held a second wedding in December 2014. They share three children together, including two sons born in 2015 and 2017, and a daughter born in September 2021. Alongside his wife, Sean Maguire became a naturalised citizen of the United States on September 23, 2020.
