Who is Silvia Navarro?
Early life and acting education
Born in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Silvia Navarro began appearing in advertisements while still an infant. During her childhood, she successfully auditioned for the telenovela Carrusel. However, she was unable to complete the project because she moved to a different city to live with her father.
As she grew older, she sought formal training in her craft. She enrolled at the Centro de Estudios y Formación, which operated as an acting school for TV Azteca in Mexico City. While there, she studied under instructors including Héctor Mendoza and Raul Quintanilla. Before landing her breakout television roles, she gained experience as a television host for a game show called A la cachi, cachi porra, which aired on Canal Once when she was eighteen.
Television and film career
In 1998, Silvia landed the lead role in the telenovela Perla after auditioning for the production. Following this success, she appeared as the lead in multiple Azteca series, including La heredera, La duda, Cuando seas mía, La calle de las novias, and Catalina y Sebastián. She later joined the cast of the play Chicas católicas in 2007 and starred in the film Amor letra por letra that same year.
By 2008, she transitioned to Televisa. Her first project there was Mañana es para siempre, produced by Nicandro Díaz González. This production achieved significant ratings success, particularly in the United States. She continued her career with other well-known telenovelas such as Cuando me enamoro, Amor bravío, and Mi corazón es tuyo. In 2016, she starred in La candidata and later collaborated with producer Giselle González again for the series Caer en tentación.
Business ventures and personal life
Outside of her acting commitments, Silvia explored entrepreneurial opportunities. In 2010, she established a restaurant named Sabor Amor. The business operated for three years, but she eventually closed the establishment in 2014 citing low revenue.
Regarding her personal history, she confirmed a relationship with Gerardo Casanova in 2012. She later announced her pregnancy in February 2015 and gave birth to their son, León, in September of that year. During a social media broadcast in 2020, she stated that she was no longer involved in a romantic relationship with her son's father.
