Who is Stephen Baldwin?
Early life and family
Stephen Baldwin Andrew Baldwin was born on May 12, 1966, in Massapequa, New York. He is the youngest of four brothers, all of whom pursued careers in the entertainment industry. His parents were Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr., who worked as a social studies teacher and football coach, and Carol Baldwin, who established The Baldwin Fund. Stephen grew up in a Catholic household alongside his three brothers, Alec, Daniel, and William, and two sisters, Elizabeth Keuchler and Jane Sasso.
During his time at Berner High School, Stephen participated on the varsity wrestling team. After completing his secondary education, he enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to develop his acting skills. His siblings are frequently referred to as the Baldwin brothers in media coverage.
Acting career highlights
Stephen started his career working in television before transitioning to film. His first movie role was in The Beast. He gained significant attention for his performance in the western series The Young Riders, which aired from 1989 to 1992. In 2007, he joined the cast of the CMT show Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge, though he departed early following an injury. He competed on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice in 2008, finishing in fifth place, and returned for All-Star Celebrity Apprentice in 2013.
His other television appearances include the 2009 series I'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here and the 2010 season of Celebrity Big Brother in the United Kingdom. He was the first contestant to enter the house for that series and was eventually evicted after placing ninth.
Personal life and beliefs
He met Kennya Deodato in 1987, and the couple married in 1990. They reside in Nyack, New York, and have two daughters, Alaia Baldwin and Hailey Bieber. His father-in-law is the Brazilian composer Eumir Deodato. Through his children, he has two grandchildren. Stephen is also the father-in-law of singer Justin Bieber.
Stephen has been involved in several religious ministries, including Breakthrough Ministry and Now More Than Ever. In 2006, he released a book detailing his personal experiences and his conversion to Evangelical Christianity. He has also engaged in political advocacy, endorsing various presidential candidates, including Sam Brownback, Mike Huckabee, and Donald Trump during multiple election cycles.
