Early life and education
Susie Amy was born in London, United Kingdom. During her youth, she attended Sir William Perkins's School. She later continued her education at Strode's College.
Breakthrough in television
While working on the Royal National Theatre production of After Juliet, Susie Amy was discovered by an agent. This led to her first television roles in 2001, including appearances in My Family and Dark field. Shortly after, she landed the role of Chardonnay Lane-Pascoe in the ITV series Footballers' Wives.
This part made her widely known and earned her the New TV Talent Award from the Television and Radio Industries Club. She remained on the show from 2002 to 2003. During this period, she was also featured in FHM magazine lists of sexiest women and appeared on their cover in February 2003.
Acting and film career
In 2004, she was cast as the lead character Valentine D'Artagnan in the Hallmark Channel film La Femme Musketeer. This role required her to learn horse riding, fencing, and martial arts. That same year, she appeared in the movie Modigliani alongside actor Andy García.
Her film credits continued throughout the decade with roles in House of 9 in 2005, starring Dennis Hopper. She also appeared in Dead Fish and the stage production of Wait Until Dark. In 2006, she took on episodic roles in television series such as The Royal, Hotel Babylon, and Doctors.
Later work included the 2008 series Echo Beach, which ran for twelve episodes. She also appeared in films like Lesbian Vampire Killers in 2009 and Psych 9 in 2010. In 2018, she joined the cast of the soap opera Hollyoaks as Scarlett Morgan, a role she returned to in 2022.
Reality TV and blogging
Susie Amy has participated in several reality television programs. In 2010, she competed in the outdoor challenge show 71 Degrees North, which was filmed in Norway. She finished in third place after performing tasks like under-ice swimming. She also appeared in the Celebrity Come Dine with Me Christmas Special in 2010.
Beyond acting, she launched a lifestyle and beauty blog titled blusherandblogging.com in 2011. She has served as a brand ambassador for the British skincare company ARK Skincare and worked as a panellist on the Channel 5 discussion show The Wright Stuff.
